It appears Claudio Reyna is no longer employed by Austin FC in any capacity.
The former Austin FC Sporting Director resigned from his leadership role in January 2023 and stepped into a Technical Advisor job with the club after the fallout from a high-profile U.S. Soccer scandal involving him, his wife Danielle Reyna, and former USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter.
Less than three months later, Claudio Reyna has been entirely removed from Austin FC’s website. Reyna had been listed as Technical Advisor, but his position alongside advisor Nolan Sheldon is stripped from the website.

While no official announcement has been made by the club, it’s safe to say Claudio Reyna has left McKalla after fully transitioning his responsibilities to Head Coach/Interim Chief Soccer Officer Josh Wolff and Interim Sporting Director Sean Rubio.
Early in the 2023 MLS season, the club has faced significant challenges on the pitch due to player performance and injuries. With Claudio Reyna’s apparent departure, does it clear the way for the club to hire a permanent Sporting Director to lead Austin FC?
