Top 3 Can’t Miss Austin FC Matches this Season (part 2)

This one should be circled on everyone’s calendar. In fact, I question if you really love the Verde if it isn’t!

After all these gueyes ended our cinderella season last year!

#2 Home vs. Los Angeles FC on Saturday, October 7th @ 7:30 PM

This match is gonna be HUUUUUUGE!!!!

It’s the second to last game of the regular season, and I expect there will be big playoff implications hanging on the result of this game.

As important as that is, the stakes for this one feel even higher for me. Last year’s Western Conference Final defeat at the hands of LAFC was just miserable. Going out on a 3-0 scoreline, on national TV, with all my family gathered together at The Pitch… it was just depressing… FOR DAYS!

I want payback!

I want to go on a 5 game winning streak over this so-called-super-club… give me a BREAK! I’m so done with them and their fancy ESPN documentary show and their dumb falcon. The 3252 is legit, but everything else about them is just so overhyped.

Besides, I have no doubt that in a few years/months we’re gonna find out that they’ve been cooking the books a la Man City or Inter Miami. (If I’m right about that, then their trophies last year deserve a huge asterisk at the very least). Their badge may have wings, but they ain’t no angels!

This October matchup isn’t gonna quite satisfy my thirst for revenge, but it’s a good start.

At any rate, our club is always popping off in our marketing slogan about “grow the legend.” A legendary team needs to be in the habit of taking down giants- whether that’s giant cities, payrolls, big name stars, or trophies.

When we do write that next chapter in the history of our soon-to-be-legendary club, I have to be there! So Q2 Stadium is where I gotta be on October 7th.

Last but not least is a Texas Derby away match with huge Copa Tejas implications in 2023—Check out Part III.
