In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 24 hours or so, you may have missed that Austin FC’s 2023-2024 home kit leaked and then officially launched on Wednesday morning, ahead of Los Verdes season-opener against MLS new boys St. Louis City SC on February 25.

The club hosted an official launch party on Wednesday night for supporters at Native Hostel in east Austin. The event featured DJ King Louie of Peligrosa, some 5v5 pickup soccer on an outdoor turf pitch, and the Verde Van to display (and sell) the star of the show: the Las Voces kit.

The launch was open to the community and, unlike other official Austin FC events, didn’t feature any formal programming. That, of course, didn’t hurt the vibe at all; Austin FC supporters had an opportunity to enjoy some adult beverages in friendly company, order tacos from La Santa Barbacha, play some footy, dance, and even get tatted up (indeed, as the night progressed, several supporters left Native Hostel with ‘VHLM’ tats).

The reception to the Las Voces kit has definitely been hit-or-miss thus far, but the feeling on Wednesday was overall jovial, especially for those that were able to get their hands on the new shirt.
