Austin FC punched its ticket to the 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs and will host Real Salt Lake at 2 p.m. (2:18 p.m. actual kick off), on Sunday, Oct. 16—announced by the league after Sunday’s #DecisionDay games wrapped up.
The national spotlight will shine on the Capital City with the match broadcast on ABC (KVUE Austin) from Q2 Stadium.
The match will also be televised in Spanish on ESPN Deportes. The local radio broadcast can be found on KASE-FM (ALT 97.5) in English, as well as on TUDN Radio Austin (104.3-HD2, KLQB) in Spanish.
All matches played in the 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs are single-elimination.
What if Austin FC gets into the second round?
Looking ahead to Round 2 already? So are we. After all, Moussa Djitte single-handedly destroyed RSL (and cliched Austin’s playoff berth) in their last matchup at Q2 Stadium.
If Austin FC beats Real Salt Lake, the Verdes will advance to the Semifinals in the MLS Cup Playoffs bracket to play the winner of FC Dallas and Minnesota United. The highest remaining seed will host the Western Conference Semis matchup on a to-be-determined date.

Gates will open two hours prior to kickoff (30 minutes earlier than for regular season matches) to encourage fans to be in their seats by kickoff.
