MLS and adidas have collaborated to create a new eco-friendly Primeblue jersey made from recycled material and ocean plastic. This year each club gets one of two colors that the limited-edition kits are available in — white or “prime blue”. These Primeblue shirts will be worn in games by all MLS clubs on the weekend of May 28th.
For the away match against LA Galaxy on May 29, 2022, Austin FC players will wear the white kit with “glow” pink trim and crest.
Last year was Austin’s first in the Primeblue kit, worn against the Seattle Sounders in May 2021.

The subtle abstract pattern on the white kit appears to represent the waves of an ocean. Crest and logos that adorn the kit seem to be more peach in color, than “glow” pink. The collar is a prominent ribbed V-neck that sits high on the neck.
Made with Parley Ocean Plastic, a high-performance recycled material crafted from plastic waste intercepted at beaches and coastal communities, there’s no denying you’ll feel good about supporting this innovative environmental cause.
If your closet is already filled with Bright Verde, then this one-time alternate jersey may be just the change-up you need this season.
The Primeblue garment is made with a yarn which contains 50% Parley Ocean Plastic — reimagined plastic waste, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean.
