The first-ever game jersey for Austin FC is here.
Leading up to reveal day, the club rolled out promo videos, to give fans a vibe for the jersey. Our takeaway from those 15 seconds: tattoo sleeves, vinyl, and BBQ smoke.
Billed as The Uniform For Austin, no actual kit was revealed to our naked eyes in these archetypal ATX scenes.
Just days before the grand launch, Austin FC revealed its new Verde Van, a merch shop on wheels (a customized 1983 Chevy Barth).
It has scheduled stops at locations around Austin from Nov. 18-21 to sell the brand-new jersey, as well as other merch, including YETI drinkware. Of course, only in the music capital of the world would the roof be outfitted to serve as an impromptu music stage.

The Nov. 18 event at Easy Tiger is the very first opportunity for fans to view and purchase the brand-new jersey in person.
The Austin FC home kit
Austin FC’s first-ever primary jersey combines the Club’s colors – green and black – on wide vertical stripes, leaving no doubt when the Verde is on the pitch in 2021.
But those aren’t the only stripes. The jersey makes room on the top shoulder for the obligatory three-stripe adidas signature.

The club’s iconic oak crest rests above the heart, ready to be kissed by players and fans wearing the kit.
Across the chest reads the primary kit sponsor, YETI, making a bold but simple statement, without mucking up the jersey design as a more elaborate logo might. Netspend, the sleeve sponsor, has its logo featured on the right sleeve.

A closer look at the neck tape reveals design element “Estamos Listos” – a strong declaration from the club and fans of Austin. Just picture Matthew McConaughey’s voice when you read it.

Finally, another unique element of the jersey has to be the “ATX Est. 2021” 3-D raised jock tag in the lower front corner. A nod to how far the city has come to bring major league soccer to Austin.

Authentic and replica jerseys are available to purchase online at adidas.com and MLSstore.com on Wednesday, November 18. Local retailers YETI and Soccer Corner also carry the jersey, with big box sporting goods stores to follow.
Soon after the jersey was released, team president Andy Loughnane announced the that the club broke the single-day record for inaugural jersey sales. We didn’t know there’s a record for that sort of thing, but we’ll take it.
Austin FC kicks off their very first MLS season in March 2021, so grab your jersey and get ready.
