Austin FC just made major upgrades to its digital side.
There’s now a full-blown website dedicated to Verde content that die hard fans crave.
Besides in-depth pages drilling into St. David’s performance center, 4ATX Community, and technical staff, we finally get a detailed player roster.
We had to give it a shout out on social media as soon as we saw it.
At the same time, the MLS mobile app added Verde.
That’s right!
Austin FC is finally a Pick Your Club option on the app. By selecting Austin (hit the gear symbol), you can gain access from your phone to Austin FC content, which includes the latest club news.
Pro tip: be sure to also change the color of the MLS home screen icon to the sweet Green and Black version.
Maybe most important of all is that MLS finally settled on a three-letter code to rep the Capital City.
Fans of the Verde have a strong preference when it comes to ATX vs. AUS. To an outsider, the airport code AUS might make sense. Austinites however know the only right answer is ATX.
In the mobile app, MLS now uses the ATX moniker in the club news summary (as you can see below).
