Season ticket prices for 5 MLS clubs that compare to Austin FC

At the time of this writing, Austin FC hasn’t officially announced season ticket prices yet for their inaugural season in 2021.

The mystery is killing us, so we did the next best thing. We compared 2020 season ticket prices for three of the newest MLS clubs: FC Cincinnati (joined 2019), Inter Miami CF (joined 2020), and Nashville SC (joined 2020); plus the two Texas teams (FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo) for good measure.

Supporters section prices:

  • FC Cincinnati—N/A
  • FC Dallas—$340
  • Houston Dynamo—N/A
  • Inter Miami CF—$425
  • Nashville SC—$425

How will Austin FC General & Supporter ticket prices compare?

Austin FC will likely reveal exact pricing in Summer 2020, once they start these seat selections through SeatGeek—our guess is June 2020. 

We know from comments by the club’s front office that ALL season tickets for General and Supporters sections will be priced $48 or less per match. (FYI, there are 17 home matches in the 2020 MLS season.) If our mathematics is correct, that’s about $800 annually for General tickets. 

For the Supporters section, don’t be surprised if seats push $500 based on current prices of these end seats at other new clubs Inter Miami and Nashville SC.

About 75 percent of 20,500-seat stadium will be devoted to General and Supporter sections.

Overall, Austin FC pricing aligns closely with the newest MLS clubs (Inter Miami and Nashville), as well as other professional and college sports located in Austin that will compete with Austin FC for your entertainment dollars.

2020 mls season ticket prices

Update: all Premium seats are sold out as of June 2020. As far as pricing, club level seats went for around $3,500, with sections on the shady West side priced higher than the East side. One price tier lower, but still in Premium, are Terrace seats (upper level West side), priced at $1,500-$1,900.

  1. Probably worth noting that the attendance problems in Houston are largely due to the product on the field and pricing likely won’t help much. The club is consistently at the bottom of salary spending for MLS and ownership the past few years hasn’t shown much interest in investing in the club or their supporters. Really sad to see, the atmosphere was absolutely electric in the first few seasons at BBVA.
